  • Even Babar Azam Was Laughing”: Rohit Sharma Reveals Hilarious Moment From T20 World Cup 2024

Former India batter and coach Ravi Shastri has an aura that almost nobody can match. Shastri, who was once popular for his fiery batting performances during his playing days in 80s, went on to coach Team India from 2017 to 2021. Under his coaching, India won the famous Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against Australia 2-1 in 2021, including the most popular Gabba Test. However, another thing which standsout about Shastri is his way of conducting a toss during a match. With a bold voice and brilliant introduction of the two captains, toss with Shastri becomes a spectacle for the fans.Recently, India ODI skipper Rohit Sharma revealed a hilarious moment from the T20 World Cup 2024 match against Pakistan in New York.

Rohit stated that during the toss, he got so lost in Shastri’s words he forgot that he was holding the coin and everyone was waiting for him to flip it. He also revealed that this moment even made his counterpart Babar Azam laugh.

“Look at Ravi Shastri, I’m enjoying that. In the middle of everything, Ravi Shastri’s energy, I forgot that the coin was with me. Even Babar Azam was laughing. In the blue, it’s Rohit Sharma, who’s ready to punch. In the green Babar’s ready to counter punch, it was all fun,” said Rohit during an interview with Jio Hotstar.

Talking about the match, India scored only 119 runs after being put to bat by Pakistan. However, what happened later was totally unexpected as pacer Jasprit Bumrah completely broke the backbone of Pakistan’s batting lineup with his spell of 3/14 as India restricted Pakistan to 113 and won the match by six runs

  • India’s U19 Team Smashes 442 Runs In 50 Overs In England, Truck Driver’s Son Outshines IPL Stars

As the Shubman Gill-led Indian team suffered a 5-wicket defeat against England in the first Test of the series at Leeds on Tuesday, a young Indian side emerged victorious in style. India’s U19 team, on the tour of England, put a whopping 442 runs on the board in just 50 overs, beating the England Young Lions by 231 runs in a tour match at Loughborough. The Indian side was led by Ayush Mhatre, a young batter from Mumbai who recently came into the spotlight after scoring a few exemplary knocks for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

India U19 side put a mammoth total on the board, but not with the help of the IPL prodigies that it had in the team. The man who shone the brightest for the Indian side with the bat was 18-year-old Harvansh Pangalia.

While Mhatre was dismissed for a score of just 1 run, the 14-year-old IPL sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi could only score 17 runs in the match before being dismissed.

The top-scoring batter for India was Harvansh Pangalia, who scored an unbeaten 103 runs in just 52 balls. In his innings, Harvansh Pangalia hit a total of 8 fours and 9 sixes. He was supported aptly by Rahul Kumar, who registered a knock of 73 runs in 60 ball,s while Kanishk Chauhan scored 79 runs in 67 balls. Apart from this, R.S. Ambrish also did well by contributing 72 runs in 47 balls for the U19 side.

With the ball, Deepesh Devendran was the pick of the lot for India, bagging three wickets. Naman Pushpak and Vihaan Malhotra took two wickets each asthe  India U19 side won the opening match of the series.

  • Yashasvi Jaiswal Dances After Dropping 4 Catches, Faces Social Media Bashing.

India had a horrific start to their new era in Test cricket under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. In the first Test of the five-match series against England, Gill and co were completely outplayed in Leeds as the hosts chased down the target of 371 and won the match by five wickets. Despite registering five centuries in the match, India ended up on the losing side. The biggest reason of their defeat was the sloppiness in the field and Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s dismal show in the slip turned out to be the root cause.
For the record, Jaiswal dropped four catches in the second innings, which are the most by a player in a single Test innings. India grassed six catches in total during the first innings. As the young batter was facing the criticism for his poor fielding, a video from the match went viral on social media, which made things worse for Jaiswal.

In a video going viral, Jaiswal was seen placed in the long-on and was merrily dancing and smiling while looking at the English crowd in the stands. The timing of the scene actually angered the fans as it took place just minutes after he dropped Ben Duckett’s catch.

Seeing Jaiswal in a jolly mood despite a poor show on the field, fans showed no mercy and slammed him on social media.

  • Don’t Bowl…”: Mohammed Siraj Criticised After India’s Loss To England In 1st Test

Former India player Mohammed Kaif has criticised the bowling of Mohammed Siraj after the team suffered a disappointing five-wicket defeat at the hands of England in the first Test in Leeds. The match at Headingly saw the bowlers struggle for wickets as it was a flat surface that was on offer. Despite no help from the pitch, Jasprit Bumrah picked a five-wicket haul during the first innings of India’s bowling. Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj picked three and two wickets, respectively but leaked runs. While the economy of Krishna was 6.40 that of Siraj was 4.50.The performance from the Indian bowlers was even poorer when they came in to bowl for the second time in the game. England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett stitched 188-run partnership in chase of 371 runs. England hunted the total down with five wickets in hand. Krishna and Shardul Thakur accounted for two wickets while Ravindra Jadeja picked one.

Both Bumrah and Siraj went wicketless despite bowling 19 and 14 overs, respectively. Siraj thus picked only two wickets in the game while bowling 41 overs.

“People say Mohammed Siraj tried very hard, bowls with his heart. Sir, don’t bowl with your heart, bowl with your mind and with line and length where we can get wickets,” said Kaif on his YouTube channel.

He also pointed out that Bumrah went wicketless in the final innings of the match as the England batters played defensively against him.

  • Woh, Main Aur Kaanda Poha”: Content Creator Crosses Border For Curry Leaves, Video Goes Viral

Can a poha dish truly be complete without curry leaves? We think not. And neither did this content creator couple, who quite literally crossed borders to secure the fragrant greens needed to elevate their kanda poha recipe. In a now-viral video shared on Instagram by Ved Campbell Maddison, we see just how far one might go in the name of good poha. The clip opens with his girlfriend expressing her craving, “Mujhe kaanda poha chahiye (I want onion poha),” before adding, “I need curry patta (leaves).” And like any committed partner on a culinary mission, Ved springs into action in no time.

Known for his quirky humour and expressive storytelling, Maddison is seen exiting his home, declaring his intent to return with the ‘prized’ ingredient. What follows is no quick trip to the grocer. Ved boards an overnight flight, navigates the chaos of a Mumbai local train while yawning dramatically, chats with co-passengers, and even helps carry their luggage, all before proudly securing a fresh packet of curry leaves from a local market. Mission accomplished, he boards yet another flight home, triumphantly bearing his fragrant cargo.Back in the kitchen, the cooking begins. As his girlfriend rinses the poha, Ved refers to it as “poha flakes” with a grin. He then chops onions and green chillies, heats oil in a pan, and adds peanuts. Once they are roasted, she sets them aside, making way for mustard seeds, jeera powder, chopped vegetables, and, of course, the curry leaves to sizzle in the same pan.

In classic Ved fashion, he dubs the turmeric addition a “Haldi party” and lets the mixture cook with the lid closed. The couple’s joy is infectious-and judging by their expressions, the end result is nothing short of delicious.

The BJP had sought a reply from the legislator within seven days.According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), the altercation occurred on June 19 on the Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express, allegedly over changing seats and objectionable sitting posture inside the train.
